I noticed in the stress test some people were pushing the boundaries. I reminded myself NOT to just say anything I wanted in /1 so I wouldn't get banned. Maybe they weren't really moderating during the tests.
I'm pretty biased against add-ons. I didn't use them back in the day and when I tried to use them around Cata, many of them were all out of whack and full of errors. I'm just so used to playing straight vanilla.
It can suck to have a group ready for 45 minutes and just needing a single tank to anti-up, but I think it's also a part of the game. It makes you revere tanks and healers a little more and encourages you to roll one yourself to try and fix the wait times.
The one addon I want I don't think exists. I'd love one that allows you to see your hit box and spell ranges as halos on the ground and a red halo around every mobs' threat range, so you can trace around them and avoid them if you wished.
There are so little servers on launch and so much streamers. ALL of the servers will have streamers, nothing you can do about that. Grieving fanboys are easily reported and most streamers can accept that with great power comes great responsibility and teach there fans to not be a dick just a sucker of it. (my bad, I am a comedian)
Read the whole thing over the past two days, and I agree with every single thing you said, such a good read!! Retail WoW is a shadow of its former self and I can't wait for Classic to at least kind of bring back the world coherence you're talking about.
I started out during the server-wide opening of Ahn'Qiraj event in Vanilla and seeing all those changes summed up like that really hit home.
