WebP maps not supported on Safari

Trying to use the Levelling Guide on Safari, the map tiles don't render. This seems to be because they're in the WebP format, which Safari doesn't support. Using Chrome works fine.
Could you serve an alternative (PNG?) format when Safari is the detected browser?
