Extended Producer Responsibility – Authorization ("Epr Authorization") From CPCB

  • EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) is regulated by the E-Waste (Management and Handlings) Rules for the year 2011. According to this law, the producers of electrical or electronic equipment are responsible for the equipment's management after its lifecycle has ended.
According to the environmental policy, the indicated producer is responsible for limiting the impact on the environment. The producer is also in control of product management and waste disposal. It lasts for the duration of the product's life cycle.
E - Waste (Management) Rules, 2016, Rule 13 (1) (ii), (iii), and (vi):
The Central Pollution Control Board has been authorized to grant, renew, or refuse Authorization to Producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) as per the mandate assigned to the Central Pollution Control Board (EPR).
